Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Software Developer will support our Cybersecurity Team covering forensics, reverse engineering, penetration testing, and RMF activities through the creation, sustainment, and modification of software and firmware solutions.
Other responsibilities may include administrative tasks, such as documentation of software and network administration activities. Given broad directives, the Cybersecurity Software Developer will conduct research and development activities and provide regular updates to supported elements within MartinFed, and in certain situations, directly with external customers.
Essential Functions
- Provide materiel support primarily concerning cybersecurity functional area teams during day-to-day mission. Areas include but are not limited to:
- Penetration Testing
- Compliance Review
- Forensics
- Malware Analysis
- Software Development
- Network Administration
- Software Documentation and Engagement Writeups
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience.
- Proficient with low-level programming languages to include at least one assembly language.
- Understanding of cybersecurity activities.
- Ability to apply academic knowledge real-world problems.
- Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to conduct research and analyze data.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- General office environment
- The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers and books.
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
