Overview
This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.
HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners
Essential Job Responsibilities
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Minimum Qualifications
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of the basic principles of computer science
- Experience in C/C++ programming
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Desire and ability to learn new skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain up to a TS/SCI with enhanced security checks.
- Active Secret clearance
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems
- Experience with real-time software development
- Familiarity with Linux
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python
- Digital Signal Processing experience
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with Labview
- Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
